Welcome to the Big Hollow Shooting Range


We will be having sight in help at Big Hollow Range, we will have skilled people to help you sight in your firearms for the hunt. The range will be open as usual, but one or two benches will be manned by skilled personal to help with sighting in your gun with your ammunition.

The Dates are:

Sept 22 Muzzleloader 12:00 to 4:00

Sept 29 Rifle 12:00 to 4:00

Oct 13 Rifle 12:00 to 4:00

We are looking for more volunteer Range Safety Officers.

Notice: because of the dry conditions, the gongs have been taken down.

We are located in scenic Heber City, Utah.
We are a non-profit shooting range operated completely by volunteers for the benefit of our community. Please be respectful to our volunteers and each other as you use the facility. The range is open to the public, there is no charge, and you do not need to join any club or organization to shoot.

We emphasize rifle and pistol shooting.

Hours of Operation

    **** Check the calendar - if the shift is covered by a volunteer it will show "Staffed" in the event title. ****
    The range is open only when staffed.

  • Tuesday - reserved for Law Enforcement
  • Wednesday 4pm-7pm (1pm-4pm during winter months)
  • Thursday - reserved for Law Enforcement
  • Saturday 8am-4pm
  • Sunday 10am-2pm

4 Rules of Gun Safety

  1. Treat all firearms as if they were loaded
  2. Never point the muzzle at anything you are not willing to destroy
  3. Keep your finger off of the trigger until your sights are on the target and you are ready to fire
  4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it
