If you haven’t had a chance to use the Big Hollow Shooting Range recently, there are some improvements that will make your shooting experience more enjoyable. The upper most clay range has been dramatically improved, and will soon be open for use during the same hours as the rifle and pistol ranges.
The range has been cleared of debris; leveled, new material put in place, and marked to make using the field easy and fun. Its main function will be to make it convenient for the public to use hand throwers, as well as personal manual or automatic machines. The walkway has been improved, as well as a safety berm added between the field and the Heber Valley Trap and Skeet club’s skeet field.
The improvements to the facility are due to the efforts of many, including The Utah DWR, The State of Utah, Wasatch County, and others, but special thanks need to be given to Corey Hardman, who generously donated his time, equipment and funds to the cause.
There will be a Thursday night fun shoot, using modified 5-Stand and Super Sporting formats coming soon. Please check the Big Hollow Shooting Ranges website; www.bighollowheber.com in the next few weeks for additional details, as well as contact information for the facility.
In the meantime, shoot safe, and shoot often.
We are located in scenic Heber City, Utah.
We are a non-profit shooting range operated completely by volunteers for the benefit of our community. Please be respectful to our volunteers and each other as you use the facility. The range is open to the public, there is no charge, and you do not need to join any club or organization to shoot.
We emphasize rifle and pistol shooting.
